The Valegg del Cansgell cascades down the steep cliffs in several steps, forging its way through enormous boulders that have smashed down from the cliffs in numerous individual streams. Below, the hiking trail also winds its way through the sea of rocks, sometimes over long wooden walkways. All in all, an exciting rock arena!

Near Marchesini, just south of Brione, lies what is arguably the wildest section of the Verzasca. The river winds its way down through large rocks, over mighty whirlpools and rushing waterfalls. In some places, quieter, pleasant pools open up for relaxation, admiration, or even swimming. An exciting path with many stone steps winds along the rocky eastern mountainside. The river can be easily observed from two bridges.
