The snake path was created as a panoramic path by the Geisa Rhönklub branch association in the 19th century.

A great meandering through the beech forest. However, the fallen trees would have to be removed.

Well, @Niklas, Trail is English and means path. In MTB sport you ride trails or single trails, these should preferably be natural - i.e. no gravel or similar. Single trails are trails that you can't ride next to each other, so they're not really wider than the bike. Roots, stones, jumps and possibly dense vegetation complete the fun. Trails and single trails are classified in difficulty classes from S0 (no particular difficulty) to S5 (very difficult, with scree, switchbacks and often very steep) 😁 So far for now...

It's just a hiking trail that's relatively flat and not a trail!

Interesting descent when it's wet like today only for advanced skiers, the rocks and roots are quite slippery. To drive in the dry good.

The ascent is feasible in the first part, very difficult in the further course and therefore pushing was the order of the day, at least for me. For the descent I then took the southern path, it would be too steep for me and the many brakes only spoil nature.
