Really a nice rest area with a nice shelter. The spring was named after Einhard, who held many positions and offices for Charlemagne. It is a source of drinking water and is located very close to the refuge.

After storm damage in spring, the Seltenbach Gorge is closed for safety reasons! Before visiting, please find out whether it is free again - e.g. via: https://www.stadt-klingenberg.de/seite/de/churfranken/016:533:538/-/Seltenbachschlucht.html Unfortunately, there are no signs at the city parking lots or at the signposts in the direction of Seltenbach Gorge. Without prior information, you may then set off, only to be stopped directly at the beginning of the gorge or one of the accesses in front of a blockage (e.g. by a construction fence)!
