Unbeatable during cherry blossom season, but also very beautiful

Beautiful view 👀 over the water to the Grunewald, where you can cycle in the shade 🚴. The only negative thing is the cycle path in the Grunewald, which is deformed by the tree roots 🌳 and is quite uncomfortable 😏 and is of no use to racing cyclists...🤷🏼‍♂️

After Berlin repaired the Wall Trail, it is a great place to go hiking or cycling but it is amazing what nature has reclaimed in over 30 years because there were certainly no trees growing on this site from 1961 to 1989 otherwise the protectors of socialism would not have had a clear line of fire and so the tour can be recommended and anyone who takes the time can also refresh their knowledge

Sand mining in the Grunewald forest created a pit 18 hectares in size and 15 to 25 meters deep.

The southern section of the Wall Trail between Marienfelde (from the junction with the B101) and Sigridshorst is now (summer 2023) wonderful to drive on. New smooth surface, wide enough and no disruptions, chicanes and the like. It's a pleasure for me almost every day.

Very nice and picturesque but very crowded in summer. Then only if you want to bathe yourself. A visit to the Öko-Werk (great bistro!) is well worth it.
