Extensive park and garden area near the HH-Dammtor train station and the CCH, with water areas, cascades, flower beds, old trees, themed gardens, such as the Japanese garden with traditional tea house, rose garden, apothecary garden. Visitors can explore Schleswig-Holstein's largest raised bog on a nearly four-kilometer-long nature trail. It leads over soft peat soil, through birch forests, and along a boardwalk. Information boards along the trail provide information about the extraordinary flora and fauna. At three different locations, vantage points offer a beautiful view of the moor lake and the former peat mining areas.

You also regularly cross the tracks of the peat railway when you go for a walk. Incidentally, trips with the Lorenbahn are offered on certain dates. That must be a great experience too.

The third viewing platform is at the northern end of Nulldamm in an area called Kleiner Knust.

Just let your mind wander, wonderful

The Buttermoor / Butterbargsmoor is the remainder of a former extensive raised bog on the edge of the Klövensteen in the area of the municipalities of Holm and the town of Wedel in the Pinneberg district. After rewetting, peat moss and other typical bog species spread again. Heath grows in somewhat drier areas. In order to preserve the open areas, they are grazed by sheep and goats and the trees are pushed back (the so-called "decussing"). Several paths cross the nature reserve and allow exciting insights into the moor landscape. With a little luck you can spot grass snakes and adders along the way. Cranes have been breeding in the moor since 2012. Information boards explain the special features of the area.

The Butterbargsmoor nature reserve is a habitat for rare plants and animals. A very beautiful moor with a lake. You can relax wonderfully here.

The tracks of the peat railway run here. It is maintained and looked after by a working group and there is even the opportunity to take part in public train rides. A ride offers a different perspective of the moor area, but the rails are also a nice photo motif.
