The adventure trail begins above the Königsberg Castle ruins in Bavaria at the forest playground parking lot. The "Natour" adventure trail, established by the Haßberge Nature Park, aims to promote an understanding of nature, landscape, and the environment among children, young people, and adults, as well as to raise awareness of their conservation. In former times, Zeysendorf village stood here. The memorial stone stands in the immediate vicinity of the original meadow, right next to an information board about the flora and fauna of the dry slopes. A beautiful trail leads to the original meadow. It's a lovely spot, especially when everything is in bloom.

The 132.34-hectare area, designated NSG-00376.01, which was declared a nature reserve in 1990, extends north and northeast of Unfinden, a district of the city of Königsberg in Bavaria. Route 2281 runs southwest.

On the adventure trail in the Haßberge Nature Park, you can explore nature with all your senses at exciting stations and learn more about rocks, animals, and plants in a playful way. As you hike through the diverse landscape, you'll repeatedly enjoy magnificent views of the Haßberge Mountains and as far as Thuringia. The Haßberg plateau is crisscrossed with forests and narrow meadow valleys. Here you can discover cotton grass, marsh orchids, and orchids, and the stone crayfish that still occur in the streams are a testament to the good water quality. The nature park itself impresses with its colorful mixed forests, species-rich meadows, and a particularly diverse, near-natural cultural landscape.

The nature reserve "Dry slopes and primeval meadows near Junkersdorf" is 132.34 hectares in size. It was declared a nature reserve in 1990.

But many other animals and plants can also be discovered here. The newly created habitats in former gravel pits are now populated. Frogs and dragonflies cavort in the waters. In summer you can find numerous butterflies on the floodplain meadows. There are also rarer species such as the dark-breasted bluebird, whose caterpillars develop in ant nests. The “Mainaue bei Augsfeld” nature reserve is an important European breeding area for native bird species and a resting area for migratory birds. Rare and typical floodplain habitats and animal species of European importance are also still widespread in the area. Natural, nutrient-rich lakes have formed in the area of former river loops, which were separated by the dynamics of the river. But such contrasting habitats as fens and dry sandy grasslands can also be found alongside riparian forests and meadows. Bird species such as the sandpiper, little ringed plover and the great egret feel at home in this varied area. An adventure trail enables ideal observation of this rich bird world.
