A beautiful, protected beech forest... especially refreshing in the woods during the summer.

A truly beautiful beech forest. Perfect for summer. The forest is dense and protects from strong sunlight. In spring, you can snack on the tender leaves from the trees.

The area is particularly characterized by wavy to strongly moving end moraine ridges, on which a near-natural, acidic to alkaline-rich lowland beech forest with its characteristic plant and animal species grows as a natural managed forest. These include large areas of continuous brush grass and hairbrush beech forests with hints of woodruff beech forests, which are among the largest beech forest complexes in the lowlands of Lower Saxony and are characterized by a high diversity of species and structures typical of the habitat. フォレストアムトから西に1750m、ロ―ゼンガルテン国有林の丘の上に、深い尾根の上にカ―ルシュタインがあります。これは、何世紀も前に人々を驚かせた、巨大な中粒の赤みがかった灰色の花崗岩（>1.9 x 2.5 x 2.2 m）です。石の大きさよりも、深い溝と蹄鉄の「跡」が早くから人々の関心を呼びました。蹄鉄の印がある石は、さまざまな場所にあります。最も近い石は、ハ―ブルク郡のレーゲスボステルにありました。ハルツ地方のロストラッペや、ヴィッティンゲン近郊のビッケルシュタインを思い出してください。これらの印に対する科学的な説明は、今のところありません。カ―ルシュタインから数メートル離れたところに、同じ素材の2番目の石があります。これはカ―ルシュタインから剥がれ落ちたものです。 https://www.hamburg.de/geotope/3861972/karlstein/

Imposing stone that lies in the middle of the Heidschnuckenweg. Easy to reach from the parking lot. But it can also be integrated very well into Waderungen, since the path leading there and back is very beautiful.

We really hiked Buchholz from here, just wonderful.
