The Buursermeertje is a wonderful place to relax or to enjoy the heathland and forests around the area. You can easily get there, almost next to the lake you can park the car next to the sandy path.

A small lake in the heath area. Interesting is the explanatory board in front of it, which explains that the lake was artificially created. (An open-air museum was to be built here.) For a time it even served as a swimming pool. In this year 2022, however, it has almost run dry.

The Hünenburg is a Carolingian complex from the second half of the eighth century. It is recognizable as a double wall system.
