The Polleros Window and the Polleros Wall can be accessed via a small detour (and climb) from the railway hiking trail. In parts the path is quite steep and exposed. There is no viewing platform or railing here. The view is magnificent - down onto the rails or onto the Kalte Rinne Viaduct and into the distance. We were alone up here.

11/01/2019 - The Blickplatz on Wolfsbergkogel offers a special view of the 184-meter-long and 46-meter-high "Kalte Rinne" viaduct, which could be seen on the back of the penultimate issue of the 20 Schilling banknote, as well as the bollard wall, the Rax and the Schneeberg. 10/22/2020 - You can't miss the prominent staircase with its winding ascent to the entrance. At the top we were alone in the Falkenstein Cave today, except for a bat doing its laps. The cave itself is beautiful and open all year round, don't forget your torch.

According to the information board, this black pine in Vöstenhof (Neunkirchen district) was “born as a seedling” in 980 and experienced “strong stem development with four shoots due to game browsing at a young age”. In 1930 the tree was placed under nature protection. In the 1950s the tree was poured with concrete and bitumen to stabilize it.

From the "20 Schilling View" viewing platform you have a fantastic view of two of the Semmering Railway viaducts and the surrounding mountains. Below the viewing platform there are several picnic tables for a break with a panoramic view. The panorama is so beautiful that it used to adorn the Austrian 20-shilling banknote.
