フェステンブルクの頂上はニーダーヴェクセルに位置し、尾根沿いのむしろ目立たない、自然のままの地点です。はっきりとした頂上構造の代わりに、森とヴェクセル地方の穏やかな風景がこの区間を特徴づけています。より際立ったピークから離れた静かなチェックポイントです。ヴェクセル山脈の細長い尾根に典型的です。
