But since they refused to convert, the Wörthersee Mandl opened a small barrel he had brought with him, from which endless, unstoppable masses of water flowed – creating today's Wörthersee and swallowing the then town.

A fantastic landscape in the extreme south of Austria. The high nearby mountains and wild water are gorgeous. Towards the end there are many steps where you should hold on tight. The waterfalls are good for time-lapse photography. You should always keep an eye on the bus timetable, as it only runs about every 2 hours.
