Great trail network that’s rideable during winter

Ride through hell. I can only confirm it wholeheartedly :-) It takes a lot of perseverance and motivation to get through it.

Bicycle rental service and workshop. Trail Kitchens (restaurant) also just behind. Public toilets also in the area, along with a place to wash up your bikes after a muddy ride if you wish!

Ride alongside the lake is easier with the sun behind you. Some steep and tight corners so avoiding sunstrike is a good idea. ie start at Wanaka in am andGlendhu in pm.

Well groomed tracks. Reasonable price. Worth a visit.

The Croesus Track is a unique mountainbike track that was built long before the mountainbike was invented. This section of the track is at the top. You are very close to the Ces Clark Hut. This is a 16-bunk hut that must be reserved in advance. Right next to Ces Clark Hut is the old Croesus Top Hut where you cannot stay overnight. But you can have a look inside the old hut which was built in the 1930s.

Starts from the bridge in Alexandra and runs for 11k to Doctor's Point, from there you will have to take a jetboat to continue down to Roxburgh (jetboat needs to be booked in advance). There is also access to the MTB trails at Flat Top Hill from this track.
