The Nassfeld is a beautiful hiking area on the Carnic Alps, a saddle between the Austrian Gail Valley and the Italian Canal Valley. The pass summit lies at 1,530 meters above sea level. Surrounding mountains include the Gartnerkofel (2,195 m), the Rosskofel (2,239 m), and the Trogkofel (2,280 m). For flower enthusiasts, the Gartnerkofel is a must-see! The Kuhtritts, a rare and endemic mountain flower, can be found here! For culinary delights, there are several charming mountain huts and interesting restaurants to discover!

The Dobratsch or Villacher Alpe (Slovene: Dobrač or Beljaščica) is a 2,166 m above sea level mountain range in Carinthia. It forms the eastern foothills of the Gailtal Alps and is located immediately west of the city of Villach. The Dobratsch area has been protected as a nature park since 2002. As a model region for sustainable development, it has relied from the outset on a four-pillar model with the themes of protection, education, recreation, and regional development. At the end of 2021, research was added as a fifth pillar for the further development into Nature Park Z. The Dobratsch Nature Park covers an area of approximately 8,200 hectares.
