Did you drive toward the school gate? The pictures don't even begin to convey how crisp this thing is.

It's still rideable, but very steep. I don't know if it was the weight of the eMTB, but I was more sliding down with the brakes than "riding." However, when I compare my route with the trail here, I rode a little differently, which was considerably wilder than the trail photos here suggest.

Unfortunately we missed the "sign" in Bad Kösen that the bridge is closed. This made it an adventurous ascent to the Rudelsburg. (with e-bike and dog trailer)

On a route worthy of MTB (with touring bikes) it goes from the Rudelsburg down to Bad Kösen. There is a fine pastry shop with good cakes.
