Does anyone know if this is also the classic "cold water descent" with a sled (not the cold water descent with skis)?

Great descent. You just have to watch out for pedestrians. Otherwise you can let it go and use the cross gullies to jump

The roller route is particularly suitable for beginners and offers a good mix of single trails and wider forest roads. The first two sections of the roller route are particularly difficult and require a little MTB experience. After that, there are wider forest roads that can also be ridden by inexperienced riders. Shortly before the end, there is a short (<200m) more difficult section. If you prefer nice trails, I would recommend riding the Badish Moon Rising and then the Canadian.

Very intense and technical descent with some steep sections. Rocky with a few steps. Well built and maintained! I would rate a rock section as S3. That's fun!

Scullenwäg is not a classic MTB trail descent, but a well-made but sometimes not very easy enduro line with a real bike park feeling. It's great what the locals and the MTB Club Freiburg have done there👍 If you approach the route with the necessary respect, it's easy to drive on. A helmet is a must and for beginners and intermediates a few protectors are certainly not a mistake. Spring deflection >100mm on the fork would be recommended if you are not already at the start with a corresponding fully.
