An interesting habitat due to the damming of the Isar.

The Goben sub-area encompasses a valuable section of the Isar floodplains north of the Isar, between Goben and Harburg. The area is bordered by the Isar dams to the south and a backwater dike to the north, thus largely cutting it off from the river's dynamics. Nevertheless, large, structurally rich riparian forest areas and oxbow lake complexes with numerous rare and endangered animal and plant species can still be found here. Furthermore, the sub-area is home to an extremely valuable burn area. A burn is a dry, open area in an otherwise moist riparian forest that developed on a gravel deposit. Great nature reserve not far from the city center

The geotope is recommended at any time of year. The path there from Heimlichleiden is beautiful, partly steep uphill and downhill along the crossroads! Rare flowers can be seen in spring and many different trees and bushes along the path

Rosenau alluvial fan > a geotope (excerpt from the Bavarian Environmental Atlas) The Rosenau alluvial fan is a flat, Holocene gravel cone that lies only slightly above the surrounding terrain, but has hardly any soil cover and is clearly separated from the surrounding agriculturally used floodplain areas in terms of vegetation (poor grassland). The gravel cone probably belongs to older Holocene gravel sequences that were no longer reached by later floods. Teisbachtal near Teisbach (extract from the Bavarian Environmental Atlas) The Teisbachtal shows the cross section of an "asymmetric valley" with steep flanks exposed to the west and flat to the east. On the west side, a terrace runs along the estuary into the Isar valley to Oberteisbach. Asymmetrical valleys have formed due to differential erosion with soil flow in non-glaciated areas, mainly along N-S running streams, characterized by the cold climate.
