At 859 meters, the Burghorn is the highest point on the Lägerngrat. From here, you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views: to the south over the Limmat Valley to the Alps 🏔️, and to the north into the Surb Valley and the Aargau Jura 🌳 – a perfect place for a break with a view!

The main road over the 569 meter high Bözberg connects the Fricktal with Brugg. If you are on a mountain bike, you have the advantage of being able to go straight back into the forest before and after, thus avoiding traffic.

Very nicely located, on the highest point. So you have a wonderful panoramic view. Plan some time to linger!

On the Bözberg! And no matter which side you arrive from, there are many interesting forest and field paths, trails, and sights in the area. While you're there, I recommend visiting the Linner Linde tree or the old town of Brugg. There's so much more to see there, but there wouldn't be enough space. Have fun!

I used to ride the trail from Wildegg. This time from Brunegg.... I have the impression that Wildegg is the better option.

The climb from Hottwil finishes with a nice reward of the valley below towards the Rhein Valley, the Black Forest in Germany and on the other side a view of the Aare Valley with Brugg and Baden in the background. The descent to Remigen is on a smooth asphalted service and there is a fountain to fill up your water bottles at the main intersection in Remingen.

Very nice forest in the direction of Hoch wacht.

Demanding for our circumstances but feasible and worthwhile. You pass beautiful viewpoints, an antenna and a small Stone Age settlement. The path from Brunegg is wonderful at the beginning and goes along a very old road in the forest. From the fireplace then with 2-3 carrying and pushing everything along the ridge. The descent is particularly demanding. in the wet and in the dark. Roots and small ledges running diagonally to the path, partly exposed (on one side)…. Have fun and have a good trip!
