At Mount Rushmore, America's most symbolic and important presidents were blasted into the rock in the form of portraits at the time the monument was created. This is the largest prairie-dog town in the accessible areas of Badlands National Park. You will see and hear prairie-dogs moving between the mounds of dirt they make their home. Prairie-dogs are wildlife, so you should always view them from a safe distance.
