Pleasant view and the beginning of a fabulous descent to the famous iron fountain

On the Cerro de São Miguel there is now a large swing with a great view.

Cerro de São Miguel (411 m), also known as "Monte Figo", is the highest peak in the Serra de Monte Figo and is located in the parish of Moncarapacho, municipality of Olhão. Its summit is an excellent vantage point that offers a view of a considerable part of the southern Algarve coast.

The view from São Miguel is very beautiful. You can see as far as Olhão and the sea. The summit is 411 metres high.

The way there is along a beautiful gravel track and with a bit of luck there will be something going on or someone will be training there.

It's easier to take the road, but also more boring. The uphill has a good gravel climb right at the beginning, but you also have to do that if you drive on the road to get to the downhill starts. In addition, this uphill has a 2nd, approx. 150 meter long, murderous climb that is a challenge even with an e-bike due to the loose gravel and the steep climb.

Unfortunately, he has grown slightly and has a violent up and down in both directions. So it's not easy to drive from either direction. But the descent is always fun. Definitely better than road.

Beautiful trail, is easily feasible for advanced drivers. Beginners may have to push a little bit 2-3 times, but even beginners should have fun on the trail. There are a few small jumps that can be rolled over or avoided.
