On the Cerro de São Miguel there is now a large swing with a great view.

This route is not so easy. Komoot's directions stop halfway for a considerable time where a closed path must be taken. Then there is almost no path for a kilometer and walls must be crossed and the route must be followed visually until Komoot picks it up again with read-out directions. Furthermore, quite steep on a number of parts.

Cerro de São Miguel (411 m), also known as "Monte Figo", is the highest peak in the Serra de Monte Figo and is located in the parish of Moncarapacho, municipality of Olhão. Its summit is an excellent vantage point that offers a view of a considerable part of the southern Algarve coast.

The view from São Miguel is very beautiful. You can see as far as Olhão and the sea. The summit is 411 metres high.

As it is a considerably dry area, the Benémola fountain spring becomes even more special. The entire route is covered in plenty of vegetation - there are hundreds of plant species, more than any other area in the Algarve.

Just after leaving the car park, on the Fonte Benémola route, this beautiful dirt road opens. It's a very peaceful place to run. The views are inspiring and encourage long journeys.

Nature is present there in all its forms!

The park is absolutely not recommended. Everything in the park is a bad joke. In the whole park 0 signs you absolutely do not know where which trail should be with what difficulty. Supposedly there are easy trails. I have no idea where they are supposed to be. Everything is extremely blocked and rocky, in addition a lot of things are totally overgrowing. We fought our way down 2 trails and looked at others roughly. That's no fun, maybe for professionals with local knowledge. But the park is absolutely nothing for beginners and advanced. Oh yes, there are signs that always say motorcycles are forbidden, bicycles AND pedestrians are allowed. What kind of bike park is that where pedestrians are allowed? Not even on the main sign there is a map where which trail should be. By far the worst park we have visited so far. 0 points.
