Culminating at 1,489 meters above sea level, the Col d'Aspin is a classic of the Tour de France. Its ascent from Arreau is magnificent. Via a few bends, it winds for 12 kilometers at an average 6.5% with a few passages at 10%. It is also possible to climb it from Sainte-Marie-de-Campan. The climb is 12.5 kilometers at an average gradient of 5.1%.

This natural lake, of glacial origin, is revealed to walkers arriving via the passes. Well sheltered behind its granite barrier, it is impossible to see it from the bottom of the massif. Over time, the geology of the massif made it possible to dig a basin and create a rocky edge. It is this "glacial lock" that erases Lake Port Bielh from the landscape when you are below.
