A challenging climb with beautiful scenery and virtually no motorized traffic. However, it's only partially recommended for road bikes, as it's a dead end and the ruts in the concrete on the descent are annoying and spoil the fun.

Heidialp / Ochsenberg, Maienfeld The alpine hut on the Ochsenberg, built over 200 years ago. Garden mountain inn (Heidialp), the original Heidi hut on the Ochsenberg above Maienfeld. The Malixer Alp (also called Alp Malix) is located above Brambrüesch and below the Furggabüel peak. In summer, there is an inn on the Alp where local products are served to eat and cool drinks to drink.
