The summit of the slope lies between the Rodeberg and the Vidaigneberg. Near the summit stands the Lijstermolen (Listers Mill). A chairlift runs between the Baneberg and the Vidaigneberg, gliding over the saddle valley between the two "mountains" and the vineyards of the Entre-Deux-Monts, offering panoramic views of northern France and the Belgian coastal plain. The summit is 140 meters high. The name comes from the Bane family, who owned the mountain in the 13th and 14th centuries. The slope is also sometimes called Gildestraat (Gilde Street). https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baneberg

Behind the small Locre No. 10 Cemetery there is an oak tree in the middle of a field. The men in the cemetery died during the Great War of 1914-1918, one of the last victims of that same war fell 65 years later. A farmer ripped apart a bomb with the tail of his plow and flew into the air. The oak tree is planted at the site of the tragedy. www.derondevanbelgie.nl

The mine crater in the grassland on the corner between Wijtschate and Scheerstraat is the result of the explosion of a deep mine from the First World War. Peckham was one of 11 locations on the First World War front where the mine battle was fought. The explosion of 19 deep mines on June 7, 1917 heralded the start of an Allied offensive (third battle of Ypres). The current mine crater at Peckham shows approximately the same dimensions as in 1917 (73m diameter, 14m depth). In 1938, the owner pumped out the crater, with the intention of giving tourists a better view of the original shape of the crater. A journalist testified that the empty crater appeared much larger than when filled. It is unclear how long the crater remained dry. In its natural state, the crater mouth quickly fills with water if it is not continuously pumped empty. (Immovable Heritage Inventory)

The Baneberg. The top of the slope is between the Rodeberg and the Vidaigneberg. Near the top there is a thrush mill. There is a chairlift (Cordoba) between the Baneberg and the Vidaigneberg, which floats over the saddle valley between the two "mountains" over the vineyards of Entre-Deux-Monts with views over Northern France and the Belgian coastal plain. The top is 140 meters. The name comes from the Bane family who owned the mountain in the 13th and 14th centuries.

A forest where, until the 1700s, gallows literally stood ready for the convicts. During the First World War, the woods, unlike other forest areas, were spared because they formed a resting area for British soldiers. There was a barrack where Anglican worship services were held, and there was a cinema room. A nearby farm, the present Hospitaalhoeve, served as a hospital. The Plank Road led to the center of Vlamertinge and the soldiers went to the front along this road. At the edge of the forest is the Hagle Dump Cemetery. The British gave it the name “Dirty Bucket Camp” referring to the inn de Vuile Seule ("seule" is West Flemish for bucket).

Locre no. 10 Cemetery is a British military cemetery with fallen soldiers from the First World War, located in the Belgian village of Loker, a sub-municipality of Heuvelland. The cemetery is located 1.2 km south of the village centre. This small L-shaped cemetery was designed by William Cowlishaw and is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The site has an area of 730 m² and is surrounded by a natural stone wall. The Cross of Sacrifice stands directly opposite the entrance, on a plinth built into the western enclosure wall. The cemetery consists of a British and a German bed. There are 133 dead buried including 86 unidentified. The border with the German graves is located in the short side of the L-shaped cemetery.

The Pool of Peace (or Lone Tree Crater) in Wijtschate is now a peaceful reminder of the great Mine Battle of June 1917. The opening of the offensive was marked by the explosion of 19 deep mines under the German lines between Ploegsteert and Hill 60. explosions form huge craters in the landscape. The largest and most ultimate crater is the Pool of Peace. It is 12 meters deep and has a diameter of 129 meters.
