Magnificent intermittent fountain, no detour is found on the road. A must-see!

After a short detour, the beautiful path leads directly to a fantastic waterfall. For the intrepid, this invites you to take a dip – weather permitting, of course.

A beautiful set of natural waterfalls, easily accessible in just a few minutes from a car park located at the exit of the village of Roquefort-les-Cascades, at the cost of a short hike (there are several picnic tables and a guinguette). Best seen after heavy rain to fully enjoy the spectacle.

Superb forest then superb descent to Alzen. In Alzen, do not miss the pretty loop of the Sainte-Croix chapel, a very pretty site and stop about 2 km below Alzen to access (on foot) the site of the waterfall of the same name. This waterfall, less known than that of Ars, is also spectacular with its 43 m drop.

Intermittent source: every 40 minutes, the source emits over 2000 liters of water per second. After 20 minutes, the water flow almost runs dry. Although attempts are being made to investigate the background of this phenomenon with theories, the cause has not yet been clarified. There are said to be other sources of this kind in France.
