Alp Foo is an alpine settlement in the municipality of Mels in the canton of St. Gallen, located approximately 2 km east of the Foo Pass, which forms the border between the cantons of Glarus and St. Gallen. The St. Luzisteig Fortress was a defensive position of the Swiss Army. It is located on the St. Luzisteig Pass at an altitude of 713 meters in the canton of Graubünden and was part of the Sargans fortifications. I rode from the Klunkel Pass towards Vättis. There's a comfortable, fairly flat descent. The area is very beautiful. I took a short nap on a bench in the shade by the stream.

The small village of St. Luzisteig has a lovely inn and a church, which is unfortunately closed. There's also a military museum nearby.
