The Municipal Park of Elche stands out for its imposing palm trees, a corner of peace in the heart of the city center and surrounded in turn by extensive plantations that make up the largest palm grove in Europe.

This palm forest, a World Heritage Site, boasts of being the largest of its kind in Europe, although it is believed that in Arab times it must have been even larger. This monumental set of orchards has more than 200,000 specimens of palm trees, originally cultivated for their delicious dates.
