Spectacular waterfall. There's a walkway that allows you to see it practically from above.

The natural pools of Valdastillas are located in the Bonal gorge, in an area surrounded by vegetation. They have also enabled an area of sand, grass and picnic areas. Currently bathing is not allowed, but it is a good place to rest. It is not allowed to bring dogs.

At this point there is a group of century-old chestnut and oak trees, some of which are more than 700 years old and ten meters in diameter. There are four chestnut trees declared Singular Trees in the municipality of Casas del Castañar. In autumn you can enjoy a true visual spectacle thanks to the reddish tones of the leaves and the mist, which adds a mystical touch to the scene.

This is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the area. It's only a short walk from the road, but if you're with a bike, you'll need to leave it on the road or ride up a steep path.

La Garganta de Marta is another wonderful waterfall in this land of water. There is a car park very close, which means there may be many other people visiting when you visit.

Lake Alonso Vega is the largest natural pool in the entire region of La Vera. It is the perfect place to enjoy the fresh and crystalline waters of the Pedro Chate Gorge.

This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and impressive waterfalls in the Piornal region. The Caozo waterfall is a wonderful place where you can appreciate nature at its best. It can be reached from Valdastillas following the marked route PR-CC 32.
