Slieve Loughshannagh is one of the quieter summits in the Mourne Mountains, but it rewards hikers with wide, open views over Silent Valley, Slieve Binnian, and the western Mournes. Hare's Gap is the most beautiful and dramatic mountain pass in the whole of the Mournes mountain range. It was once a smugglers hotspot, with people often carrying contraband, such as soaps and spices, through here from the coast along the Brandy Pad.

Slieve Croob stands at 534m and is the highest peak of the Dromara Hills, situated just north of the Mourne Mountains. From the summit, you can enjoy expansive views across County Down and toward the Mourne mountain range, a designated Area of Natural Beauty.
