Virginia Water is a beautiful, artificial lake in the southern end of Windsor Great Park. A loop of the lake is a lovely way to spend a few hours and there are a few interesting landmarks to discover. Chief among them are the ruins of Leptis Magna, once a vibrant city in modern day Libya. The ruins were gifted to George IV in 1816 and reconstructed on this site. Another regal gift is the Totem Pole, which was given to Queen Elizabeth II by Canada in 1958.

This is a great spot for Picnic. Cow pond is amazing pond with lovely ducks, birds and Lovely views. highly recommended this.

Runnymede is famous as the site of the sealing of Magna Carta, but today it's home to a collection of memorials to the struggle for liberty. As well as the monument to Magna Carta, you can visit memorials to JFK and the Allied Air Forces of the Second World War. Nearly 800 years ago, King John met with a group of barons on this small patch of countryside. It was here he sealed Magna Carta, seen by many as the symbolic first step on the road to modern democracy. In this spirit, today Runnymede has several memorials to the ongoing struggle for liberty.
