アイクルベルクでのいくつかの楽しい下り坂。

The Willekensberg is a nature reserve and a hill, characterized by sunken roads. The hill offers views of the Demer and Zwarte Beek valleys. The summit of the Willekensberg is approximately sixty meters above sea level. At this highest point in the municipality is the Chapel of the Beukeboom. This place was already mentioned in 1770 under the name 'Willekensbosch'. After 1945, the hill was planted with conifers for the production of mining timber, but was gradually converted into deciduous forest after the area came into the possession of Natuurpunt. Nice single track over the Rodeberg, there are many paths and descents to enjoy.

Nice and hilly walking area.

In the forests near Tessenderlo you will find a challenging enduro section for MTB'ers, where adventurers can test their skills on technical trails and steep descents. The terrain offers a perfect mix of rocky sections, root steps and fast turns.

In the forests south of Aarschot you will find a mix of challenging climbs and exciting descents. The steep climbs require stamina, while the descents with sharp bends and root parties provide the necessary technical challenge.

Magnificent open part, but the western access is via a very muddy portion in winter, very slippery. Perfect for mountain biking (according to other comments), a bit of a headache for beginners in gravel (I learned that the hard way..!). Accustomed to road cycling, going through this type of path is always a magical moment.
