Lake Tzan, nestled in the valley of the same name in Valtournenche at over 2,440m above sea level, enchants with its green and transparent waters. The path that leads to it is a journey through larch forests, silent mountain pastures and unexpected panoramas, culminating in an alpine oasis suspended between the sky and the rocks. Here you will find the silence of high altitude, broken only by the gentle lapping of the lake, while the surrounding peaks such as Punta Tzan and Dôme de Tzan act as silent guardians. Truly beautiful lake, clear and very fresh water, after a long walk it is ideal for finding relief for tired feet, then if you are hot you can also take a nice dip and feel reborn in the cold waters of the Tzan, I highly recommend this tour

The Place Moulin dam is perfect for starting several treks. Parking is only €3.50 for 24 hours and campers can park for €9 per day. There is also a covered parking area. In addition, there are clean bathrooms that are open 24 hours a day, and bins.

Les Iles: This area is a wetland in the central part of the valley, where former mining activities have led to the formation of lakes. These lakes now provide refuge and food for countless bird species. It is an important resting place for migratory birds and is also home to several breeding birds.

Aside from its size, unmatched elsewhere in this region and rarely found outside, its centuries-old existence and the fact that it survived the devastation caused by the terrible phylloxera aphid between the second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century make this majestic specimen of the native "Petit Rouge" grape variety a vegetal monument steeped in history and tradition. Age and partial abandonment have weakened it somewhat, but, supported by the pergola once erected as its training system, it still manages to miraculously produce a few bunches of grapes every year. The shoots, subjected to analysis, confirmed that the specimen belongs to this native grape variety typical of our region, abundantly widespread in the vineyards of the central valley, between Saint-Vincent and Avise.

It's worth going to see it, then it's better to return via the short detour path because the descent towards Chamolé is not very enjoyable.
