A beautiful alpine trail, but please wear hiking boots. Some very rocky sections. Don't forget water; the restaurant at Pedra Longa was always closed when we were there.

Magnificent view from Monte Oro and I think you are almost always alone (I didn't meet anyone except four climbers a little further down on the north face)

A summit that is easy for experienced hikers to reach. The path over the stones is well marked with cairns. Anyone who goes up here is allowed to put up one or two cairns.

Everything has been said in the previous tips, the path from Pedra Longa to Santa Maria Naverese is simply beautiful. As a return path from Monte Oro it is not too difficult and can be done without any problems for good hikers, although despite the simplicity good footwear is necessary.

With a few more steps you have a whole panorama of the bay.

Pedra Longa is a dolomite limestone block and a (broken) integral part of the huge Baunei plateau. Its “rock needle-like” shape rises up to a height of 128 m from the sea: it is one of the highest rocky peaks on the island that rises directly from the sea and was declared a natural monument in 1993.

Easy hike that requires some sure-footedness at one point or another. But the path is suitable for young and old. You have a fantastic view of the rock of Pedra Longa and the turquoise sea. Don't forget water on sunny days, as the bar/restaurant at Pedra Longa is not always open.
