The Testa del Nan fountain is one of the 14 springs present in the Fontana del Guercio Reserve, located in Carugo, province of Como, Lombardy. This source is among the most important in Lombardy, contributing to the formation of the Roggia Borromea in the reserve. The area is recognized as a Site of Community Interest, offering a valuable habitat for various botanical and animal species, including crayfish.

The Fontana del Guercio Reserve in Carugo, Como, has 14 springs, potentially of Celtic origin, with the Testa del Nan among the main Lombard fountains. The reserve includes woodlands, agricultural areas and is a refuge for various botanical and animal species, in particular the crayfish, giving it the status of Site of Community Interest. Accessible via trekking paths and cycle paths, the reserve can be reached by car or bus from the Como–Inverigo–Cantù line, starting from via Valsorda, near the hamlet of Sant'Isidoro – Carugo.

To see the illuminated Cross I left at 4.20pm from the Alpe del Vicerè car park. At 5.15pm I reached the top of Mount Bollettone keeping a good pace and a few minutes later it lit up! To go down you need a front panel even if the road is easily passable

A small beach where it is possible to swim in summer, a recommended place also to bring your four-legged friends for a swim.

Mount Bollettone (or Bolettone) is located at an altitude of 1,317 meters. Bollettone is one of the first peaks of the famous ridge of the Como triangle. The summit is also easily recognizable from the Po valley thanks to its unmistakable row of fir trees.

Mount Boletto is located at an altitude of 1,278 meters. Il Boletto can be reached from Brunate, Torno and from Alpe del Vicere. Mount Boletto is appreciated for its position (it is located at the beginning of the ridge of the Larian triangle) and for its relative ease of access from Como.
