The "Panoramica Valle del freddo" hiking trail runs halfway between Castro and Zorzino. In summer, the view is obscured by trees along much of the trail. A true view of the lake is only available in the northern section.

Better to take the one more to the right in the undergrowth which is definitely easier and will then rejoin the main track

It is a very useful route to reach an alternative mule track to reach Forteno, having said that this is a single trail with quite difficult passages on rocks. Personally I pushed the mtb in some places.
