Small park on the edge of the old city center next to the military academy

It is a rebalancing area of over 13 hectares, 40% of which is occupied by a residual reservoir from the cultivation of an abandoned open-air clay quarry, filled over time with spring and rainwater, where a thick hedge, also dotted with tall trees, it flanks the right side of the lake and the spontaneous vegetation acts as a refuge for numerous species of resident and transient birds.

The park dates back to 1598 and inside there is the Vigarani palace built in 1634. It is currently also a cultural space thanks to the presence of various international exhibitions. The pond and the different species of trees make it a perfect place for a relaxing walk.

the path is almost entirely in the sun and on a dirt road, therefore a hat and shoes suitable for the gravel are recommended.

The Collina degli Aironi is a strange anomaly of our flat territory. It is an old accumulation of waste, which over time has become a pleasant hill, now protected. From here passes a short but fun single track for mtb.
