A magical place…

The area is occupied by a large green space surrounded by ancient buildings, among which the building from the early 1900s, home to the primary school, stands out, opposite the police barracks, once a hospital and in the center stands the monument to the fallen of the First World War World in white Carrara marble, built with the contribution of citizens and inaugurated on 28 March 1923. In 1942 the beautiful monument was stripped of the bronze winged Victory and the wrought iron gate, the work of a talented blacksmith from Portu, to be offered to the homeland in war; the same fate also befell the fence of the nearby school building.
