After the Sonntagstal valley, climb the Falkertscharte ridge before taking the final few meters to the Falkertspitz. From the ridge, you have a magnificent view of the Sonntagstal valley or, on the other side, the Hundsgraben ditch. Soak it up, enjoy.

Climbed at the end of June. There was a huge snowfield to cross. Very challenging without hiking poles.

One of the major transnational long-distance hiking trails in this region is the "ALPE-ADRIA-Trail", which leads from the Großglockner over the Nockberge Mountains to Slovenia and further south of Trieste, then to the Mediterranean Sea.
