The Kaiserstein (2,061 m) marks one of the most famous points on the Schneeberg. A memorial plaque commemorates the ascents of Emperor Franz I in 1805 and 1807. From the summit, you can enjoy an impressive panorama of the Rax, the Vienna Basin, and, on a clear day, all the way to the Hohe Tauern—a place steeped in history and offering breathtaking views.

The Waxriegel (1,888 m) lies directly next to the Schneeberg and is a popular viewing point. From the summit cross, impressive views of the Schneeberg massif and far into the Vienna Basin open up. A worthwhile summit, it's usually less frequented and ideal for a quiet rest.

At the Törlweg gorge, the trail leads impressively up through a narrow rocky gully toward the Rax Plateau. This passage exudes a true alpine flair and makes the ascent varied and exciting. A striking landmark along the trail, it's a memorable stopover.

At the Preinerwand Cross (1,783 m), you reach one of the most striking vantage points in the Rax. From here, the view extends far over the Vienna Basin, the surrounding valleys, and, on a clear day, all the way to the peaks of the Alps. An impressive spot that rewards the climb with an unforgettable panorama.

The striking three-meter-high bear statue in front of the hut is a reference to the nearby bear cave, which is known for its numerous finds of cave bear bones. But the region has much more to offer: at an altitude of 1,023 meters, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view, homemade cider and the warm hospitality of the Postl family. The hut is open on weekends and public holidays during certain seasons and offers groups the opportunity to stay overnight. Guests praise not only the spectacular view, but also the good food and the popular cherry liqueur.
