シュタウフェンは1453年から市場権を有しています。オーストリアとスイスに近いアルゴイの重要な場所として、何世紀も前からここに立派な家を建てた裕福な市民家族が生まれました。しかし、1924年の通貨改革後、オーバーシュタウフェンには1970年代まで別荘や分譲マンションが大量に建設され、町全体の景観を損なうことになりました。

The church square in Weiler, with its fountain, is a small, beautiful oasis of calm in the heart of the village. The gentle sound of the water and the open seating make it ideal for a short break. A good place to quickly regroup after a hike or to take a photo.

St. Blasius Church in Weiler im Allgäu is a tranquil landmark in the village and well worth a quick look. From the outside, it appears simple and well-maintained, while inside it is usually pleasantly quiet. Ideal for a short break away from the hustle and bustle.

The beautiful square is the center of Weiler im Allgäu.

Very popular and beautiful cycling path! The asphalt is in great condition, making for easy riding, and the path is almost entirely seperated from the main traffic, allowing you to enjoy the scenery stress-free :)

The "Mangold" cafe in Weiler is recommended. It's closed on Tuesdays, though. Then there's the Wucherer bakery. It has a small snack bar attached, with pleasant indoor and outdoor seating.

The chapel, with its recessed choir, gallery, shingled spire, and turret with a bell, was built of wood by the neighbors in 1862. The altar contains a picture of the Immaculate Conception by Franz Bobleter of Feldkirch. Statues of St. Aloysius and the Sacred Heart flank the altar. Various images of saints adorn the nave, and the Stations of the Cross are arranged on the chancel arch.
