On this ridge hiking trail, with good visibility, you have a breathtaking view of the central Swiss mountains and lakes. You can also see the diverse alpine flora. You can see it at its most beautiful side at the end of June and July. If you're lucky, you can see wild hay making on the extremely steep slopes towards autumn.

When visibility is good, the view of Lake Lucerne is phenomenal and anyone who takes the Stoos funicular from Hinteres Schlattli up to the car-free village of Stoos will have another highlight: This funicular is the steepest in the world, with a gradient of 110 percent or 47.7 degrees.
