The "Wolfsschlucht" project was about improving the ecological value of the area. Workers had removed several dams. Now the water can flow here as it pleases again, without human intervention

Wesseler Canyon. Great fun for experienced bikers. Best with Gravel or MTB. Coming from the north, the Pättken leads steeply down to the small bridge over the stream. Caution! Pass the stairs on the left. You only see them late. When you get to the bridge, immediately downshift, as it goes straight back up steeply through a tight curve.

We found the platform itself more spectacular than the “view” 😁

Great route overall. As previously mentioned by irmy: it suddenly goes quite steeply downhill, over the bridge and then steeply uphill again. From both sides. Shift gears in good time. And a few surprising curves. Inexperienced or unsure riders should dismount and push.

You can take it with you, the way around it is nice.

It's a bit "as you can see, you see nothing" - but you can walk around it quite a bit (with lots of stairs)

The gorge(s) hammer are unfortunately heavily blocked by fallen trees and thick branches, so it is quite pointless to drive up
