Beautiful gravel roads. The main trails are easy to ride. The side roads require some riding skill. Everything is doable.

In my opinion, Halde Haus Aden 2 is more suitable for mountain bikes, given the condition and gradient of the paths - I would not recommend the climb with a trekking bike.

The heap section is currently overgrown and has been closed. We pushed the bikes and cleared the way for us. Very steep route and unpaved. Beautiful view and vision at the top.

More cool trails to the north in the area of the Großes Holz heap

Dump of the former Werne III mine in Bergkamen-Rünthe. Small but nice with some nice trails.

An ascent, whether on foot or by bike, is always worthwhile. Magnificent view, well laid out paths, on which the heap area can be easily explored. The title and the tip of "Moin wide world (Markus)" is incorrect. Here it is right: The actual heap Grosses Holz is the largest landscape structure in the area with an area of approx. 121 hectares. It consists of several parts that arose in different pouring phases. The highest point is the Adenerhöhe in the southwest of the heap with a maximum of 146.9 meters above sea level. NHN and about 87 m above the surrounding area. This makes the heap one of the five highest in the Ruhr area.
