no water on the trail if you come from Karlobag, so make sure to bring enough. You walk a lot on rocks that can be also be sharp, so focus on your steps and maybe bring bandages. The climbs are pretty doable, no special gear is needed. Trekking poles recommended. The trail has good markings, it took me about 7 hours with small breaks. I do walk quite fast.

Basača (once called Škrbina) with its modest height of 1089 m offers an unforgettable view of the entire Oštarija field, Dabarske kukve and the Velebit channel...

Ljubičko brdo (1320 m) encloses the oštarija field on the north side. The lower slopes are overgrown with forest up to half the height, and above that is a grassy belt, while on the northwestern part of the hill there are picturesque vertical rocks (Medvjeđi kuk, Božin kuk and Kuk od Karlina plana). Of particular note is the rocky Filipov kuk (1055 m), which is part of Ljubički brdo and at the same time the southernmost rocky kuk in the series of Dabarski kuk.
