Guffey Gorge is a secluded swimming hole that is commonly referred to as Paradise Cove. It is a beautiful place for a break and to take a dip in the water.

This pretty, rock-lined pond is a nice place to rest or enjoy a picnic. Keep an eye out for marmots that live in among the rocks; they look sort of like giant, grizzled ground squirrels.

The Eleven Mile State Park is a recreational haven situated around the Eleven Mile Reservoir in Colorado. Known for its picturesque landscapes and diverse outdoor activities, the park offers opportunities for fishing, boating, camping and hiking. But the stunning views of the reservoir and the rocky landscape are actually already a good enough reason to visit this place!

The Midland Trail, the longest among the singletrack loops in Eleven Mile State Park, is accessible via either the Aspen Loop Trail or the Ponderosa Loop Trail. This trail winds around the wetland bordering the reservoir, offering picturesque views of the surrounding pine trees and mountain meadows.

Guffey Gorge, commonly known as Paradise Cove, is an emerald-green pool surrounded by rocky cliffs. It's a great spot for swimming and only takes a short hike to reach the hidden gem.

Helms Lake rests just over treeline at 11,735 feet. The alpine pool is about 2,300 feet lower than Mount Bierstadt, which makes for a great backdrop. There is some camping near the lake with wilderness area LNT principles governing the sites.

Bugling Elk Trail is a wide, hard-packed dirt trail that takes you to the Elk Falls Pond. Once at the pond, there is a great spot for a picnic!
