A series of cascades forms as Hogskin Branch flows down into North Chickamauga Creek. It’s a magical place to pause and appreciate the sound of the water and the surrounding views.

Picturesque cascades along Little Possum Creek give this section of the Cumberland Trail a calm, peaceful feel. Enjoy a break here, and if you’re up for it, a quick dip can be refreshing, waterfalls have a way of recharging both body and mind.

Rainbow Lake Wilderness is a quiet and beautiful corner of Prentice Cooper State Forest, perfect if you enjoy moments of solitude in nature. The surrounding trails can be rocky, leading you through dense forest and past a few small streams, with Rainbow Lake itself offering a lovely spot to pause. Trails are lightly marked and can be overgrown, so having your Komoot map downloaded can be helpful.

Ruby Falls is a mesmerizing waterfall in Lewis County, Washington, where the water plunges 21 feet over a bridge and then plunges another 31 feet into a deeper pool. This layered structure gives the waterfall an impressive sense of depth and power. What makes Ruby Falls truly special is the visual spectacle it creates when sunlight or artificial spotlights strike the falls. The spray catches the light and creates a dazzling play of reddish hues and pearlescent sheens—an effect that truly lives up to the name "Ruby."

Ruby Falls is an underground waterfall with a 145-foot drop. The falls are open every day except for holidays, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. There is a fee to visit and take a tour. The waterfall is lit up with blue and purple lights, and there are many other rock formations to see on the cave tour as well.

I set off from St. Elmo Park...I wouldn't define the route as "EASY". Some passages are very steep on loose ground... it's not always easy, especially downhill.

Glen Falls is actually a trio of cascades in the Chattanooga and Lookout Mountain area. The trails getting to the falls are part of a large network of interconnecting paths and loops, so there are a multitude of ways you can approach the falls. Be careful rock hopping around the falls for better views; the boulders near the waters get pretty slick.
