In Nordhorn's city center, with the various facilities on Burgstrasse – the church, of course, the rectory with its parish office and administration, the nave, the daycare center, the nunnery, and the parish hall – we strive to be an open and welcoming church that takes the views and needs of the people into account. After the service on the first Sunday of the month, we invite you to join us for coffee in the nave. In the Klausheide district, we have been practicing ecumenism under the roof of St. Michael's Church for several years. The coexistence of the Christian denominations is characterized by great respect and appreciation.

Take a walk around the city center and include Huis Almelo. A beautiful green route.

Hello Kapparalf, what an interesting story; I am Marc Siemelink from Diepenveen in the Netherlands and according to a cousin the origin of the Siemelink family lies at this farm / fort Symoninck. Do you know or have any references or other information about this?

St. Augustinus is Nordhorn's main Catholic church, which, along with the Reformed Market Church, dominates the city's skyline. The building was constructed from 1911 to 1913 according to the plans of the Hamburg government architect Josef Keith as an octagonal central structure with a dome, ambulatory, and lantern.
