I was immediately captivated by the island: colorful houses, a wonderful marina, forests for hiking, small, beautiful beaches, and a charming town center with lovingly designed shops.

For runners specially there is a Parkrun community in Hagapark. You can join the community via strava and connect with more people. People practice in this park daily from stretch of 5K to 21K , at different pace , and at different hours of the day. Mix of gravel, flat surface and also elevations added at points. you can see deers, swans and ducks in this park. Beautiful nature and well surrounded running path by trees, lake.

Djurgården is an island, a district and a park area in the east of Stockholm. The partly wooded island belongs to the Stockholm district of Östermalm and has about 800 inhabitants, is 279 hectares in size and has a shoreline length of 10,200 m. The island is actually called Valdemarsön, but in practice only the district name is used.

Small bathing area where there is always something going on. From across the street, curious coffee shop visitors watch the brave bathers in the cold water.

A number of museums are located on the central Djurgårdsvägen. These include: - Vasa Museum, - Nordic Museum, - ABBA The Museum, - Liljevalchs Kunsthalle, - Aquaria Vattenmuseum, - Spritmuseum - Children's Literature Museum Junibacken, - Vrak (Museum) - Estonia Memorial.

Unfortunately, the noise level from the motorway on the other side of the lake is considerable. I cannot understand why they built a glass wall there instead of a proper noise barrier.

Vaxholm is a picturesque island in Sweden, known for its historic fortress and charming architecture.

Very nice bathing and recreation area. Finely made and very natural.
