Picturesque Chalet du Lac is a classic mountain chalet set beside a gleaming lake below Mount Mirantin. You'll find it just off the main trail from Arêches to the Pas de l’Ane. Over the summer months, if the shepherd's about, you can buy coffee and crêpes from the door.

the water is not directly accessible in the chalet but a river below allows you to refuel! Very nice well maintained refuge! (info from 20/05/2023)

An authentic alpine chalet, the Lachat refuge is a very welcoming place. It is 1,555 meters above sea level and faces Mont Blanc. A beautiful place to spend the night!
