A beautiful wooden tower with a narrow spiral staircase, it can accommodate a maximum of four people at a time. During the week and in bad weather, you won't have to wait long.

As already mentioned several times, there can be long waiting times for the climb, as a maximum of 4 people are allowed on the tower. To be honest, I'm used to higher observation towers. This one, with 85 steps, is rather small in my opinion. More information at https://visitgrandest.com/tour-de-merelle

24km - T1 Cornimont 35km - T2 Bussang (source of the Moselle) After about 2.5km the routes split into T1 and T2 - at a beautiful cycle roundabout with great signage Wonderful routes that are easy to drive. Take your bathing suit with you, there is a small bathing opportunity on every route. There are also places to stop for refreshments.

Impossible not to go to Gérardmer if you are passing through the Vosges, it's pretty, you can go swimming in the lake and there are good restaurants there. Unfortunately it is extremely touristy and the city is not very bike friendly...

Unfortunately, on a weekend you may have to wait in line for ONE(!) hour to get to the tower. The tower is only permitted for a few people at a time.

Nice lake shore path. Because there are many big rocks, unfortunatelly bicycles and baby strollers cannot be used.

Last part of the Randonnée, with beautiful views of Lac Géradmer. A stone path that is easy to walk with sturdy shoes 🥾 A nice ending 👌

The ascent already the 1st evening adventure then the way over the mountain through gorges the 2 + 3 + ... adventure at the end of the more than worth seeing way around the lake with many highlights. Coffee in town, ice cream on the beach a must on this tour
