The Evangelical Lutheran City Church of Triebes is located in the Triebes district of the city of Zeulenroda-Triebes in the Greiz district of Thuringia. The parish belongs to the Greiz church district of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany. The City Church of Triebes was built in 1716. In 1962 the chancel was redesigned. Since then the church has been a simple place of worship. A stained glass window from the past can be seen in the bright chancel. The floor in the hallway and the chancel were renovated and two gravestones were uncovered. Flute groups, children's choir, keyboard group, trombone choir and church choir perform church music. The Romanesque church building had two towers at the end of the 12th century. It was placed under the patronage of the Dominican monastery in 1296. In 1267, the bailiffs of Weida, Heinrich von Plauen and Heinrich von Gera, documented the donation of the St. Catherine's altar in St. Peter's Church in Neustadt-Weida by the priest Sibot and, as feudal lords, confirmed the endowment of the altar with goods from Kunsdorf (Groß- and Kleinkunsdorf), Schömberg, Neundorf, Bocka (Groß- and Kleinbocka) and in the town of Weida.

In the middle of the 12th century, the church was built as a small chapel dedicated to Mary and expanded around 1230 to become a Romanesque church with two towers. The high Gothic extension was built from 1350 onwards. The church was used for worship until 1527. The nave was completely destroyed in the Thirty Years' War and has been a ruin since 1633. In 1803, the south tower was demolished because it was in a state of disrepair. The tower, which was restored in 1996/97, carries the church bells.
